Newcastle/Liverpool

There's plenty of previous discussion of these two teams on this blog. Liverpool here, here and here, Newcastle here and here. Not much has changed since those games. Both sides have a consistent core to pick from and it's impossible to recommend anyone outside of that group

For Newcastle, Barton, Tiote and Enrique are consistently excellent as is Nolan when he scores. For Liverpool, Lucas, Meireles, Johnson and Konchesky are the regular picks, Maxi Rodriguez has been improving recently.

So the Big Game will all boil down to which team sees more of the ball and how many goals are scored. I'll be leaving those decisions until just before kick-off. Tiote, Enrique and Lucas will almost certainly be in my team, I'm a bit concerned about Barton and Nolan as they've had knocks recently and could be sub risks. A punt on Torres or Carroll could be worth it to get an edge but they'd probably need a brace to make it worth it.
