Newcastle/Arsenal

Arsenal sent out a strong team in their last League Cup game. Some huge scores were racked up in that one but mostly because the match went to extra-time.

Newcastle sent out a weaker team in their tie but pulled off a surprise victory over Chelsea at the Bridge. Of those 11 Smith and Gutierrez look the pick tonight although Colocinni has posted some reasonable scores in the past.

Both of those previous matches hovered around the 50% mark for possession but I fancy Arsenal to shade it tonight as they'll be a stronger side than the Chelsea side Newcastle faced. Having said that I'll be making room for at least 1 Newcastle player and possibly two in order to get the top Big Game score.

Picking Arsenal players is always tricky as so many of them have had great scores in the past. Looking at the last match against Tottenham you would probably take as many full-backs and central midfielders as you could squeeze in plus Nasri. And this is backed up by their last league game too where Nasri, Song, Sagna, Denilson and Clichy were the top 5 for Arsenal and the match.

So, my tip is: Gutierrez, Denilson, Nasri (if he plays - Wilshire if not) and the two Arsenal full-backs.

Good luck!
